Kids Fishing Key West

These fishing charters are about 3 hours long, which is an ample amount of time for kids to bend some rods and see some of the Key West species.

Species on this trip can include:

  • Mangrove, lane, and yellowtail snappers
  • Many types of grunts
  • Porgies
  • Mackerel
  • Jacks
  • Ladyfish
  • Sometimes sharks!

Kids Fishing and Family Fun trips are designed to offer a stress-free, laid-back experience perfect for families visiting Key West. These charters are geared toward introducing kids to fishing or simply keeping them entertained on the water. Instead of focusing on trophy-size fish, we fish in areas known for variety and steady action—making it exciting and enjoyable for young anglers.

This trip can also be customized to include sightseeing or dolphin watching, depending on what your family wants to do and how you’d like to spend your time on the water.

Our family trips run 3 hours to give kids the ideal amount of time on the boat—long enough to have fun, but not so long that they feel tired or overwhelmed. Every child is different: some are ready to stay out longer, while others prefer a shorter adventure. If everyone is having a great time and the schedule allows, you can always extend your trip.

No matter your children’s experience level or attention span, All Water Charters will create a relaxed, fun, and memorable day on the water for the entire family.

Key West Fun Fishing

Provided for the trip is the same as the other charters that we offer. Bottled water and ice will be in the cooler, fishing licenses are not needed on the boat, and you do not need any tackle. It is recommended that if you have a child under 6 that you bring their own lifejacket that they like. They will be provided but sometimes kids like to wear their own.

Rule from Florida Fish and Wildlife: A child under the age of 6 must wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III personal flotation device while onboard a vessel under 26 feet in length while the vessel is underway. “Underway” is defined as anytime except when the vessel is anchored, moored, made fast to the shore or aground.
